Happy New Year! And Salutations of the Season!

First, the bad news—I’m not going to lie to you, dear readers. Prices (on my books) are not coming down. However, there is good news. Until the end of January, I’m offering a two for one deal on The Book of Norman and Here Comes Herodotus, Again! (and other microhistories). But more about that 340 or so words from now.

Regarding The Book of Norman, my advice is to get yourself a copy, settle into a cozy chair, fireside if you have that going on, and dive headlong into the book that one wag recently called, “A comedic universe… one that revolves around his Everyman protagonist, Norman Winters, suffering the relatable slings and arrows prevalent in a world of prevaricators, weirdos, and bullies so you don’t have to…”

Now, I like that. Who wouldn’t?

And this came across my desk recently as well–

“A brilliantly crafted collection of interconnected short stories that blend sharp wit and tender insight, inviting readers into the life of Norman Winters—a relatable Everyman whose poignant struggles and absurd triumphs will leave you laughing, reflecting, and rooting for him long after the final page.” –NewInBooks.com

So, I do believe you’ll want to get a hold of this collection of 18 connected short stories, either for yourself or to give to someone else at this time of year, or both. A time of year when I would be making my annual plea of support for Just Between You and Me anyway. Only this time I feel I have more to offer.

As you know, the site is free to all comers, always has been. There are no paywalls or packages. Of course, there is a place on the Welcome Page where you can donate to the cause, and I am ever so grateful when people do.

Then there are my books, which bring me back to where I started.

If you’re a Rhode Islander, you can find The Book of Norman in various places around the state. Here’s a list:

Books on the Square, Wayland Square-Providence

Charter Books, Broadway- Newport

Grapes and Gourmet-East Ferry Landing-Jamestown

Wakefield Books, Wakefield Mall-Wakefield

Island Books- Middletown, RI

If you are anywhere beyond the borders of the biggest little, you can find the book at The Kings English Bookshop-1511 S 1500 E, Salt Lake City, Utah, online at Amazon, Barnes and Noble, Kobo and Lulu, AND…wait for it, dear readers, wait for it, RIGHT HERE at Just Between You and Me!

For the next month, I am offering a two for one deal. That, as I said, is the good news.

Buy a copy of The Book of Norman for $16.99, which includes shipping, and I will throw in a copy of my chapbook, Here Comes Herodotus, Again! (and other microhistories) for free. This offer is good now through the end of January, 2025.

And you can do that right here: https://wcresser.com/

As always, thanks for checking into the site and for your continued support.
